Drs. Robert R. Blake and Jane S. Mouton were renowned social psychologists involved in the earliest, cutting edge group dynamics research in the 1940-50’s. They saw the powerful role that group dynamics holds for managing change and sought to harness that power to work in the complex and fast-paced organization environment.
They founded Grid International, Inc. after two decades of worldwide research and applications. During their 40-year partnership, they published 135 books, 460 professional journal articles, and 290 book chapters. Since its founding in 1961, Grid has delivered successful change with thousands of organizations worldwide.
Their ongoing work refined a self-convincing methodology for studying behaviors and culture in objective, measurable terms that encourages trust, candor, ownership, and enduring change.
